This Frozen 2 quilt is handmade - it has been personally designed, machine pieced and machine quilted. The symbol that represents water, earth, wind and fire were hand designed and applied using a fusible web, then each were stitched into place. The symbols were quilted onto the dark blue diamonds of the 8 pointed star block. The center of the quilt is a feathered star with the symbol as the centerpiece. The fabric was special cut into squares during construction, to get the Anna & Elsa pictures that go around on the inner and outer borders. The  light blue is a Hoffman batik. Quality Aurafil thread was used during construction. Measures approx. 72" X 72".
 
The backing fabric is shown in the last photo - free motion machine quilting was done on all of the pictures of Anna & Elsa - straight line quilting on the rest of the quilt. The symbols for water, earth, wind and fire were quilted on the 8 pointed star blocks. Cotton batting.
 
This quilt has a feathered star, four 8 pointed stars, 4 halves of an 8 pointed star and the outer border was constructed using Y seams - all are a challenge to an average quilter.

I have been quilting for twenty years, in 2005, one of my quilts was accepted and displayed at the AQS International Quilt Show in Paducah. I am a quilt teacher, designer and have had several engagements as a guest speaker at quilt guilds. I have to say that art quilts are my favorite to design & make. In the past, some of my quilts sold on an online sales site and I have received wonderful reviews.
